Electric Violin Labs was founded by professional educator and performer Jess Ingrassellino, bridging classical training, modern sound design, and an accessible approach to music technology. We believe every musician can take control of their sound. Whether you're teaching an ensemble, recording at home, or performing on stage, understanding your gear unlocks creative freedom (and saves time and money!).

We blend STEM and the arts to reveal how engineering and physics shape the electric violin's expressive potential. Every workshop, guide, and course connects musical creativity with technical understanding in clear, practical language, with hands-on guidance to fully experience the expressive possibilities of electric violin.

Dr. Jess Ingrassellino is a professional violinist, educator, and technology leader whose mission is to bridge art, science, and innovation. With decades of experience performing, composing, and teaching, Jess makes complex topics—like signal chains, impedance, and live sound—intuitive and approachable for students and teachers alike.

A passionate believer in accessibility and lifelong learning, Jess has led teams, written curricula, and mentored professionals across education and engineering. Holding advanced degrees across music education, software engineering, and business, Jess created Electric Violin Labs to bring all these worlds together—so musicians can experiment, build confidence, and discover the joy of shaping their own sound.
