Electric Violin Labs
Studio Membership — Electric Violin Labs

Studio Membership
Experiment. Create. Perform.

You've got the electric violin. Maybe a pedal or three.
And a thousand questions.
We've got answers.

Sound familiar?
"I hate how thin my electric violin sounds."
"I don't know what gear I actually need beyond my violin and an amp."
"My volume changes unpredictably. I can't trust my setup in live performance."

The Studio Membership is your place to work through all of this — without getting lost in guitar forums or advice built for a different instrument entirely. We serve bowed string players of all genres, with real human support from Jess.

Who it's for

The Studio is for you if…

  • Just starting

You're new to electric and don't know where to begin with pedals, preamps, or amps.

  • Want better

You've been at this a while but want cleaner sounds, better setups, and more creative options.

  • Want community

You want a place to ask questions, test ideas, and hear from other players figuring it out too.

You don't need a huge pedalboard, advanced theory, or a home studio to join. Just a violin, a way to plug in, and some curiosity.

What's inside

Five core parts of the Lab

Your membership gives you ongoing access to all five, including live sessions with replays so you never miss a thing.

01
Signal Check Office Hours
Live help when your sound, setup, or practice plan goes sideways
+
  • Troubleshoot your tone with people who've probably hit the same wall
  • Walk through your specific signal chain and pedals, problem-by-problem
  • Get answers on audio interfaces, recording, and streaming
  • "Hot seat" sessions where a member shares their setup and we learn together
You get
  • Regular live Office Hours on Zoom
  • Time to bring your own questions
  • All replays in the Experiment Archive
02
Deep Dive Labs
Short, focused classes that zoom in on one part of your sound
+
  • Electric Violin Setup Fundamentals — gain staging, EQ basics, reverb, delay, and dialing in patches that become your signature sound
  • Reverb, Delay & Space for Violin — get ambient, cinematic, or tight rhythmic sounds without turning everything to mush
  • Looping & Layering — use loop pedals to support practice, build textures, and perform short pieces, even if you've never looped before
  • Individual Effect & Pedal Dives — explore the physics behind effect types and how they interact with bowed strings
Each Lab includes
  • 1 live class per week for the duration of the dive, plus replays
  • Simple assignments — record a clip, test a setting, build a patch
  • A small end project you can share or keep for yourself
03
Lab Manuals
Printable guides that turn tech into practical knowledge
+
  • Setup Survival Guides — violin case to first note with minimal chaos
  • Pedalboard Blueprints — example chains for clean, ambient, rock, and experimental sounds
  • Stage & Streaming Checklists — what to verify before you go live, hit record, or plug into the PA
  • Practice & Creativity Worksheets — prompts to help you explore and craft your sound, whatever equipment you have
Designed to be
  • Printable — stick them in your case or on your music stand
  • Actionable — step-by-step, clear, violin-specific (not recycled guitar guides)
  • Growing — new manuals added over time, shaped by member requests
04
Experiment Archive
On-demand vault of lessons, demos, and workshop replays
+
  • Replays of all Signal Check Office Hours and Deep Dive Labs
  • Short tutorials on building your first patch, piezo vs magnetic pickups, dialing in reverb or delay for a style
  • Demo videos showing how pedals behave on bowed strings, basic vs advanced setups, and performance clips with full patch breakdowns
05
Open Lab Sessions
Guided co-working and creative jam time
+

I'll set a simple prompt — like "build one clean patch you love and save the settings" or "create a three-layer loop for practice" — then we:

  • Spend a few minutes walking through options
  • Work quietly together (camera on or off, your choice)
  • Optionally share what you made at the end

Part practice, part play, part community.
